Marvel’s Daredevil was recently canceled over on Netflix, and it shocked fans of the show, and the show’s cast as well, The cast didn’t know about it beforehand, and they were already discussing plans for season 4.
Charlie Cox recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly, and had mentioned he wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the Man Without Fear:
“A lot of us really expected to keep going, and I certainly did. The truth is, I felt like we had a lot of stories to tell, and although I understand [the cancellation], I’m very saddened by that.”
Marvel did confirm that Daredevil will be coming back in some capacity, possibly as a show on Disney+ or on the big screen, but it’s unknown if Charlie Cox will be reprising his role as the character.
“It’s just how business works. But also, these characters mean a lot to people. It’s weird to think there’s a chance I won’t be playing Matt Murdock ever again. That’s a bizarre feeling, because that character has been such a huge part of my life for the last four and a half years.”
Charlie Cox is hoping that he can suit up again as the Devil Of Hell’s Kitchen, and he would also seize a chance to reprise the role.
“Oh my God, yeah. I don’t know how this would happen, but maybe one day we could pick up the baton and do it again.”
Hopefully, Daredevil can find its feet and can get turned into a big screen film, or a series for Disney+.
